Obituary for Neubauer

Hekeb Neubauer, a longtime resident of New Mexico, beloved mother and grandmother, died Monday at the age of 84. She was born Helen Audene Nichols in Oil City, Pennsylvania on June 4, 1918. She married Theodore E. Neubauer on June 1, 1940 and she is survived by their children, Sandra Barela and husband, Tom, Karen Vancil and husband, Jim, Toni Neubauer and Don Pearsall, Lori Neubauer all of the Albuquerque area. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dawn Barela, Gailyn Barela and husband, Bruce Chumley, Matthew Barela, Craig Vancil, Kristy Baker and husband, Don, Joshua Vigil and wife, Tara, Seth Vigil, Shane Neubauer, Christopher Neubauer and wife, Agripina; and great-grandchildren, Brittney and Quentin Baker. She was also"mom" and"grandma" to many friends of her children and grandchildren and sponsored a child in Ecuador. She was preceded in death by her husband. Serving as pallbearers will be Christopher and Shane Neubauer. Memorial contributions may be directed to Habitat for Humanity, 4520 Montgomery Blvd, NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at Mesa View Methodist Church, Thursday evening, May 8, 2003 at 6:30 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Berardinelli Family Funeral Service, 1399 Luisa Street, 1-866-984-8600.
