Alfred John Borowy, 66, Capt., USMC Ret., a resident of Corrales for the past 13 years, passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2003. Alfred was born March 17, 1937 the son of Stanley and Antoinette Jarecki Borowy in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He had been an Aviation Supply Officer with the United States Marine Corps for 21 and a half years before retiring. He was a member of the American Legion in Corrales. He came to New Mexico from Tustin, California. Alfred was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Stanley Borowy. He is survived by his wife, Barbara of the family home; seven children, Toni Foster of Benicia, CA, Sharyn Blair of Joshua, TX, Linda Hood of Eden Prairie, MN, Joan Tatge of Bryan, TX, Robin Greenwood of Albuquerque, NM, David H. Lee of Goodyear, AZ, and Diane Sudlow of Albuquerque, NM; twelve grandchildren; two cousins, Joe Piotrowski and Angela Blaish. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, May 9, 2003 at 1:30 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe with The Rev. Dr. Tim Morrow of the Taylor Ranch Baptist Church officiating.
