Obituary for Benavidez

Neph P."Grandma B" Benavidez, 89, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, died Thursday, May 15, 2003. She was in the Blue Army and also made scapulars and rosaries. Neph was also a lifetime member of St. Bernadette Church. She is survived by her sons, Ruben Benavidez and former spouse, Sarah; Tom Benavidez and wife, Kathy; George Benavidez and former spouse, Diana; Patrick Benavidez and wife, Pauline; and Manuel Benavidez, all of Albuquerque; daughters, Connie Trujillo, Mary Lou Gonzales, both of Albuquerque and Vera Resendiz and husband, David of Bernalillo, and special niece and goddaughter MaryAnn Lukesh; brother, Ray Pino of Albuquerque; 28 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Rosary will be recited Sunday, 7:00 p.m., at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE, with Deacon Byron Wicker reciting. Mass will be celebrated Monday, 9:00 a.m., at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, with Father Bill McCarren, Celebrant and Deacon Al McLain assisting. Interment will follow at San Lorenzo Cemetery in Polvadera, NM. Pallbearers will be David Lee Resendiz, Benje Gonzales, George Benavidez, Mario Benavidez, Joseph Trujillo, John A. Benavidez, Pat T.
