Lola V. Lucero, 83, a long time resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, May 21, 2003. She is survived by her daughter, Dora V. Martinez and husband, Richard of Albuquerque; sons, Amarante L. Lucero, Jr. of Austin, TX and Larry Lucero of San Antonio, TX; grandsons, Rick Martinez, Michael Gnerich, Steve Gnerich, all of Albuquerque and Paul Martinez of Austin, TX; great-granddaughters, Amy, Julie, and Calista Gnerich, all of Albuquerque; brothers, Joe D. Vasquez of Las Vegas, NM and Bennie Vasquez of Bernalillo, NM. Nieces, Lillian Etmer and Margie Nelson of Albuquerque; and many other family members and friends. Mrs. Lucero was preceded in death by husband of 54 years, Amarante L. Lucero, Sr. She was an active member of Second Presbyterian Church for more than 50 years and a graduate of Menual High School. Services will be held Saturday, 2:00 p.m., at Second Presbyterian Church, 812 Edith NE, Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
