Gary Smith, 52, a resident of Albuquerque for most of his life, died Tuesday, May 27, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Jayne Smith of Albuquerque; son, Shawn Smith and wife, Elizabeth of Blaine, MN; daughter, Sayward Smith; son, Chad Karins, both of Albuquerque; mother, Patricia Harrison of Woodland, CA; brothers and sisters, David Smith and wife, Ann, Brian Smith and wife, Janice, Maureen Garrett and husband, J.P., Gene Secco and wife, Sandy, Roni Gaede, LeeAnn Goodwin and husband, Dan, Ken Gallagher and wife, Theresa and Roy Gallagher and wife, Debbie; and numerous nieces and nephews. Gary served his country in Vietnam with the U.S. Air Force. He was a Support Service Manager for the Metropolitan Court over 15 years. Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 31, 2003, at 10:00 a.m., at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Andy Husted officiating. Ennichement will take place at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5800 Lomas NE, 87110.
