Theodore E. Scott of Rio Rancho passed away on May 27, 2003 at the age of 72 in Yonkers, NY after a battle with lung cancer."Ted" was born April 3, 1931, the first son of Seifret and Miriam Scott in NYC where he was raised. Before retiring to New Mexico in 1988, he spent over 30 years with the NYC Department of Corrections, retiring at the rank of Captain. For 44 years Teddy was the adoring husband of Sylvia Joyce Peters who predeceased him. He was also predeceased by daughter, Stacey DaSilva. Ted is survived by his sister, Zelekah of NYC; his son, Stuart and wife, Grace of Yonkers, NY, and their child, Stephen; his son, Shaun and wife, Susan of Apollo Beach, FL; his son-in-law, Jorge of Woodbridge, VA; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
