Anita C. Shaffer, a resident of Albuquerque, died early Monday morning, June 9, 2003 at Albuquerque Regional Medical Center. She was 78. Anita was born on March 23, 1925 to Marion Curry and Nicholas DeLuccia in Newark, New Jersey. She grew up in Newark, then went on to live in Florida, Washington, and also Taos, New Mexico. Anita worked as an airline stewardess for Macki Airlines for many years, and then went on to work as a bookkeeper for several companies. Recently she worked in various jewelry retail stores in Old Town, Sandia Pueblo and downtown shops. Anita is survived by her daughter, Stacey of Rio Rancho; her sister, Delores Young of Aberdeen, WA; precious granddaughter, Jordan; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of very special friends. There will be a private Memorial Service for the family in Taos, New Mexico on Friday, June 13, 2003.
