Obituary for Marchese

Vita Angela Marchese, 69, a resident of Albuquerque since 1972, died Tuesday, June 10, 2003. She is survived by her husband, Joe Marchese; son, Luciano Marchese and wife, Doris of Albuquerque; daughter, Giovanna Marchese of Riverside, CA, Sally Duckert and husband, Bill of Albuquerque; brother, Mario Burgarello and wife, Anna of Albuquerque, Sal Burgarello and wife, Maria of Woodside, NY; grandchildren, Tonya Kalantarian, Joseph Marchese, Christina Duckert, Catarina Marchese, and Billy Duckert Jr.; and many other nieces and nephews. Mrs. Marchese was born in Sicily and came to the United States at age 17. She lived in New York until 1972 when she moved to Albuquerque. Mrs. Marchese married Joe Marchese in 1954. She and Joe were in the restaurant business in Albuquerque until 1990. Mrs. Marchese was a member of Order of the Sons of Italy (Ben Abruzzo Lodge). Mr. And Mrs. Marchese were very happily married for almost 49 years. She was an extraordinary and loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Rosary will be recited Thursday, June 12, 2003, at 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, with Deacon Mark Bussemeier reciting. Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 13, 2003, at 1:00 p.m., at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, Wednesday, June 11, 2003, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. French Mortuary 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE 823-9400
