Darleen R. Young Darleen R. Young, age 77, resident of Sequim, WA passed away June 12, 2003 at her home. Born December 16, 1925 in Sioux Falls, SD, to Donald and Lucille (Sherman) Brown. Married James Denis Brown on February 2, 1949 in Southern California. She was later wed to the late Robert Leeson Young (June 14, 1970), who passed away April 20, 1999. A resident of California until 1972, she moved with her husband, Robert Young, to Albuquerque, NM. They then settled in Sequim, WA in October 1996 after traveling full time for five years. Darleen enjoyed sewing, crafts, traveling and snow skiing. She was on the National Ski Patrol for 25 years and an active member of T.O.P.S. Also a member of the National Ski Patrol in Big Bear, CA. She is survived by her son, Thomas Brown of Buena Park, CA; daughter, Kristine McAdam of Sequim, WA; stepdaughter, Michael Markovits of Pensacola, FL; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity of your choice.
