Roberta"Bobby" Merkle, born July 12, 1911 in Ashland, Ohio, passed away June 14, 2003 at the family home after a lengthy illness. She moved to New Mexico in 1949 where she resided in Peralta for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert"Shorty" Merkle and her son, Donald Hoffert. She is survived by her only daughter, Dolores Scruggs of Peralta; her four grandchildren, Cheryle Costales of Albuquerque; Susan Wallace of Bosque Farms; Jody Anderson of Peralta and Jerry Hess of Ridgefield, WA; her eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren."Bobby", along with her husband,"Shorty", was co-owner of Albuquerque Generator Exchange retiring in 1973. She was loved very much and will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2003 at 3:00 PM at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens cemetery.
