Obituary for Stagner

Paul E. Stagner, 62, a resident of Reserve, NM passed away on Sunday, June 15, 2003. He was a founding member of the Reserve Sportmans Association, a member of the NRA, and served in the U.S Navy. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved anything to do with his beloved mountain. He was also an avid gun collector and loved shooting all kinds of firearms. Paul owned and operated Paul's Garage and Welding in Reserve for over 13 years retiring in 2002. He loved backpacking into the mountains especially with his family. His pride and joy were his children and grandchildren and never missed an opportunity to be with them. Greeted in eternal life by his biological parents, Edward Clark and Ila Stevens; his parents, Bill and Pearl Stagner; his son, Paul Edwards Jr.; stepfather and grandfather to his children, Clarance Stevens; and one sister, Mildred Hutcherson. Paul is survived by his loving companion, Mary Clark of Reserve; all her loving family; three children, Jacquelien and her husband, Mike Swindle of Reserve; Angelien and her husband, Darrrel O'Neal of Silver City, NM; Arthur Vanlyle Stagner and his wife, April of Silver City; five grandchildren, Jacob Paul Swindle; Jerry Lee O'Neal; Cody Ryan Stagner; McKenzie Rose O'Neal; and Tesleigh Madison Stagner; three brothers, George"Sonny" Clark and his wife, Cece of Silver City; James Stevens and his wife, Janis of Agila, AZ; and Gene Clark and his family; and a brother-in-law, Van Hutcherson of Belen. He is also survived by his many loving nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Reserve Community Center on Saturday, June 21, 2003 at 11:00am. A private burial is scheduled for a later date. Honorary urn bearers will be Stan Radvillas; Carolyn Gillespie; Ian Fletcher; Bobby Hughey; William Lancaster; Lee Ingles and Ervin Howerton.
