Obituary for Rascon

Estefanita"Estefy" Rascon, 72, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, June 19, 2003 to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is survived by her husband, Dan"JD" Rascon; her two sons, Adrain Rascon and Eugene Rascon; three daughters, Sonia Rascon, Coeli Rascon, Varii and Gilbert Trujillo; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers, Zoriada Martinez and husband, Willie, Esperanza Gonzales and husband, Nelson, Socorro Hunt and husband, Edgar, Bertha Arnold and husband, Roger, Eduardo Baca and wife, Esther, Johnny Baca and wife, Celia; her in-laws; and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death, her father, Jesus Baca; mother, Magdalena Baca; and brother, Roy Baca. She was born on September 26, 1930 in El Rito, NM where she lived for 20 years. Since then, she has lived in Albuquerque. Celebrating 52 years of marriage, she was an exemplary wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. As a faithful servant in her church community, Glory Hall, she touched many lives with God's spirit. Her love for nature, traveling, gardening, sewing, reading God's word and caring for her loved ones gave her a full life. She will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place. In honor and celebration of her life, her family will be saying good-bye Saturday, June 21, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Glory Hall, 2417 Wyoming Blvd. Her Burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, June 23, 2003 at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM.
