Edith Louise"Edie" Johnson, a resident of Albuquerque since March 15, 1945, died on June 17, 2003. She is survived by Otis (Butch) Johnson, her husband since October 17, 1942."Edie" was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church since 1956, was active in"Hoe Downers" landscaping, volunteered as an office assistant and helped with mailings, and was originator of"SMILES" (Seniors Meeting In Luncheon Entertainment Socials) started in 1993. She worked as a secretary at Albuquerque Country Club for 20 years and with UNM for 15 years. She also worked parttime at May's Music selling Hammond Chord Organs."Edie" loved to travel and take pictures. She and her husband, Otis, gave travel lectures and slide shows for over 30 years. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2003 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1100 Indian School Road NE, with Reverend Patricia Holman officiating.
