Ricardo Chavez"The Dawg," passed away on June 24, 2003. He was born on June 7, 1931 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Mr. Chavez is survived by his wife, Espidiona Chavez; son, Richard Chavez; daughters, Dianna Sena and Ben Chavez, Jerry Trujillo and Reitha McCoy and husband, Bill; brother, Billy Chavez and wife, Irene; sisters, Fannie Chavez and husband, Ernest, Sadie Mares and husband, Ray and Rosie Duran and husband, Joe; grandchildren, Chris Sena, Michelle Trujillo, Darlene Trujillo and Elliott McCoy and great-grandchildren, Fran Trujillo and Christopher Perez. Mr. Chavez will be deeply missed by loving family. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Eighth Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at the St. Therese Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the Chilili Cemetery in Chilili, NM. Pallbearers will be Danny Mares, Richard Young, Antonio Sierra, Steven Pino, Bobby Montano and Joe Swallows. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Duran, Chucky Duran, Lorenzo Gurule and Albert Pino.
