Obituary for Davenport

Rev. Warren Davenport. On June 24, 2003 at 7:20 p.m., a host of angels escorted Rev. Warren Davenport into the waiting arms of Jesus. He is survived by his wife, Mary Winter Davenport of Albuquerque; sons, Ernie Davenport and wife, Barbara of Richardson, TX, Robert Davenport and wife, Carmen of Los Angeles, CA, and Rev. Doug Davenport and wife, Linda of Kirksville, MO; daughters, Diane W. Dixon of Albuquerque and Donna Alsobrooks and husband, Richard of Charlotte, NC; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous other family and friends. Rev. Davenport retired after 60 years as pastor of Assembly of God Churches. He loved to be involved in building churches and in missionary work as an evangelist. Warren was actively involved as a volunteer with his wife, Mary. They were voted Volunteers of the Year at Sandia National Labs in 2002. Services will be held Friday, June 27, 2003, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE.
