Lois Feldman Tuchler died on June 29, 2003 in Albuquerque, NM. She was preceded in death by her husband, Maier I. Tuchler, MD; and son, Alex. She is survived by son, Robin Tuchler, MD and wife, Cynthia of Albuquerque, NM; granddaughters, Ann Tuchler of Albuquerque, NM, Sarah Tuchler of Arlington, VA and Ada Portman and husband, Greg of Albuquerque, NM; and great-grandchildren, Taylor and Addison Portman. She is also survived by brothers, Jesse Feldman and Sanford Feldman, MD and Sandy's wife, Louise Taichert, MD. Born in San Francisco August 25, 1919, she had a long career in social work that culminated as the Executive Director of the Jewish Family and Children's Service of Phoenix, AZ. Lois retired in 1984, moving to Sedona, Arizona after her husband died. Along the way, Lois was known for taking stray and needy animals and people under her wing, nursing them until they could fly on their own. She died after a brief illness. A special thanks to all the staff at La Vida Llena Lifecare Center for the excellent care they provided. A private memorial service is scheduled.
