Obituary for Morton

Ross Arnold Morton, 69, a resident of Albuquerque since 1984, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Monday, July 7, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Nancy Y. Morton of Albuquerque; son, James M. Morton of Albuquerque; sister, Corenna Aldrich of Pontiac, MI; and many aunts, cousins, nephews, and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ruth Morton and brother, SSgt. James A. Morton. Mr. Morton was born in rural Nebraska and moved to Pontiac, MI at a young age, where he attended high school. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Morton was a guard at the Pentagon during a part of his service. He attended Technical School to be a printer, which he worked at for a couple of years before his mental illness became too great to continue. Mr. Morton attended Hope Evangelical Free Church. Services will be held Thursday, July 10, 2003, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, with Dr. Gary Hamburger officiating. Cremation will follow, with interment of cremains taking place at a later date at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Thursday, July 10, 2003, 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Hope Evangelical Free Church Building Fund, 4710 Juan Tabo NE, 87111.
