Obituary for Kern

Wilma Jean Kern was born July 16, 1919 in Flemington, MO. She went home to be with The Lord, Monday morning July 7,2003 in the presence of her daughters. Wilma was the eldest and only daughter of Rae and Grace Phillips. She leaves behind her four children, Karen Walden, Cheryl Hargrave, Dwight Kern, and Rhonda Gabel; along with her six granddaughters; four grandsons; and two great- granddaughter, all of whom she loved dearly beyond measure. Wilma was the wife of Lloyd Kern who preceded her in death this last October. She was an active member of Holiday Park Community Church of the Nazarene for the past 29 years where she often ministered her gift of music. She wrote over lOO songs unto the Lord and was blessed with a unique voice that will not be forgotten. Many will miss our precious mother and grandmother Wilma. She had a more expedient calling and entered into the courts of praise to our God Most High. A Viewing and Visitation will be held in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST. NW. Albuq., on Wednesday, July 9, 2003 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at Holiday Park Community Church of the Nazarene, 11435 Montgomery Blvd NE., on Thursday, July 10, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. The burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery on Yale SE.
