John Maunay George, 87, a resident of Albuquerque died Sunday, July 13, 2003. He is survived by his daughter, Carmelita Ricketts and husband, Ralph of Los Alamos; grandchildren, Sheldon Scott Ricketts and wife, Kimberly of Peralta; great-grandchildren, Darrion Scott and Logan Scott; nephews, Hank George of Florida and Bob George of Portales; and numerous cousins and friends. Mr. George was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Edward George and Maude Laura George; wife, Evelyn Cleo George; son, Gene Maunay George; and brother, Henry Orian George. Services will be held Thursday, 3:00 p.m., at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE, with Rev. Ken George officiating.
