Obituary for De Rose

Shirlee Faye De Rose, 71, died July 11, 2003. She is survived by husband, Roland; son, Michael Bowen; wife, Jill; son, Tim Bowen, wife, Jackie; daughter, Beth Hanley and husband, Gerald; grandchildren, Corey and Chase Hanley, Julia Mosley, and husband, Brian and Jessica, Randy and Daniel Bowen. Shirlee was born near Vicksburgh, MS, Graduated from Carr Central High and attended Millsaps Jr. College in Jackson, MS receiving her BS/MS from UNM, teaching special Ed at McKinely and Jackson Middle Schools, retiring in 1997. She was a water aerobics instructor at Tom Young's, defined fitness and Presbyterian Health Plex. She loved birds, flowers, her home, her grandchildren, music, Elvis and Calligraphy. She played clarinet on the gulf coast, with UNM, and ACLOA. She taught piano to many. In Biloxi, MS and Albuquerque a Memorial Service is being held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 18, 2003 at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 1500 Chelwood Park Blvd. NE, Father Robert Nagiel officiating. Donations are being accepted by the Storehouse in lieu of flowers, 106 Broadway, SE.
