James R. Gutierrez, 58, a lifelong resident of Corrales, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2003. James was born April 18, 1945. He was the son of Marcos and Ida Salce Gutierrez. He had been a patrolman in law enforcement before his death. James is survived by his wife, Cristella: four children, Marcos, Jenna, Bernadette, and Melissa; one sister, Cathy; four grandchildren, Mikaela, Michael, Brittany, and Charles. The Visitation for James will be this evening, Thursday, July 24, 2003 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho. The Rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, July 25, 2003 at San Ysidro Catholic Church in Corrales. The Mass of Christian Burial will follow the Rosary with Fr. Clarence Galli as the Celebrant. Interment will be in the National Cemetery in Santa Fe on Friday, July 25, 2003 at 11:30 a.m. Military presentation by the US Navy Honor Guard.
