Rufus A. Cub Cubbage, a resident of Albuquerque since 1990, died on Saturday, July 26, 2003. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Cubbage of Albuquerque; daughter-in-law, Sarah Cubbage of Albuquerque; and grandson, Jason Cubbage of Pusan, South Korea. Rufus honorably served his country in WWII. He retired from The District of Columbia Police Force. After retirement, he was a volunteer for the Prince George County School System in Maryland and was a member of the American Legion Gallegos Post 69 in Alameda. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Parkinsons Disease Association, 1250 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY, 10305, or the American Cancer Society, 5800 Lomas NE, 87110.
