Dr. Morton E. Bernstein, 89, a resident of Albuquerque and Sun City West, AZ, died Monday, July 28, 2003. He is survived by his daughters, Lonni Brill and husband, Zil of Los Angeles, CA and Elena Tommasi and husband, Robert of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Shira Brill and fiance, Chad, Rina Simon and husband, Jason, all of Los Angeles, CA and Ryan Tommasi of Albuquerque; sister, Blanche Boroff of Brooklyn, NY and Owen Bernstein and wife, Bebe of Queens, NY. Dr. Bernstein practiced dentistry in New York for over 40 years. He was also an artist and sculptor. Dr. Bernstein was very active in the Jewish Community in Albuquerque, as well as in Arizona. He was president of the American Dental Association and the American Society of Endodontics. Dr. Bernstein was very well liked and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at Fairview Memorial Park, 700 Yale SE, with Rabbi Chaim Schmukler officiating.
