Nelson McCamey, 73, a resident of Albuquerque since 1948, died peacefully at home Sunday, July 13, 2003 after a short battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife, Pat McCamey of the family home; son, David McCamey and wife, Susan of Cincinnati, OH; daughter, Linda McCamey Allen and husband, Ken of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Lisa Kaufer and husband, Joshua and Caitlin McCamey; brothers, John McCamey and wife, Betty and Ray McCamey and wife, Mary Jane; sisters, Geneva Higgins, Billie Goodwin, Jackie Fritz and husband, Lonnie and Shirley Stott; sister-in-law, Cynthia Norman and husband, Vernon; and many other family members and friends. Mr. McCamey was active with the Boy Scouts of America. was a longtime manager of Elder, Quinn and McGill. Mr. McCamey loved the outdoors and being with his friends. He will be deeply missed by friends and family. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Friday, 10:00 a.m., at Shepherd of the Valley Presbyterian Church, 1801 Montano Rd. NW, with Rev. Lawrence R. DeLong officiating.
