Obituary for Hudson

Robert Calvin"Bob" Hudson, Jr., 55, a resident of Rio Rancho since 1994, and coming to New Mexico from High Ridge, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, June 21, 2003. Bob was born April 2, 1948 the son of Robert Calvin and Rosemary Hatfield Hudson, Sr. in Salem, Missouri. He had been a Real Estate agent with the Coldwell Banker Real Estate agency before his death. Bob was an avid sports fan, loved to play golf, darts, baseball, and go fishing. He watched as many sports as possible, including the above, as well as hockey and football, and the NASCAR races. Bob was proud of his military service. He served in the US Navy and was aboard three ships, including the USS Frank E. Evans. He was a member of the High Ridge, Missouri Elks Club and the Rio Rancho Elks Club. He was a member of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church and a former member of Hope Lutheran Church in High Ridge, MO. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosemary in 1981 and a sister-in-law, Brenda Hudson in 2000. Bob is survived by his wife of 34 years, Diane of the family home; his father, Robert Hudson, Sr.; four children, Tara R. Hudson, Barbara L. Kohn and husband Tim of High Ridge, MO, Amanda L. Hudson of Fenton, MO, and Robert P. Hudson; one sister, Kathy Hickerson; one brother, Bruce Hudson; one grandchild, Lauren Elizabeth Kohn; and three nieces, Kendra Butrum, Teresa Weis, and Kristy Hudson. The Service for Bob will be held today, Tuesday, June 24, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 2400 Monterrey Rd. NE, Rio Rancho, with Pastor Robert Pinta officiating. Pallbearers will be Bob Hudson, Tim Kohn, Lee Hoover, Steve See, Bruce Hudson, and Louis Toothman. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bob Hudson, Sr. and Gil Page. Military Honors will be presented by the US Navel Honor Guard. Cremation will follow services. It has been suggested that donations be made in Bob's name to the American Cancer Society of New Mexico, 5800 Lomas Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
