Alberta A. Blatchford, 82, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Wednesday, August 13, 2003. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Leslie Les Blatchford; sons, Larry Blatchford and Kenneth Blatchford and wife, Dolores, all of Albuquerque; daughter, Eileen Clarke of Lake Forest, CA; step-son, Ron Collier and wife, Lee of Puwallup, WA; six grandchildren, Michael Blatchford and wife, Staci of Albuquerque, Jay Blatchford of Hawthorne, CA, Nirvana Blatchford-Rodriguez and husband, Joe, Christy Blatchford, Levi Blatchford and Roger Blatchford, all of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren, Andrew Blatchford of Rifle, CO, Jacob Blatchford, Esprit Blatchford-Rodriquez, AmeAmor Blatchford-Rodriquez, Esperanza Blatchford-Sena and Jasmine Blatchford, all of Albuquerque; and brothers, Alcario Armenta, Gregorio Armenta and wife, Pauline and Joe Armenta and wife, Rose, all of Albuquerque. Alberta was a beautiful and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who gave of her time, industry and prayers. She was known for her kindness and generosity to all who knew her. Alberta bequeaths a legacy of love that resonates in our hearts. Her life was a pattern to guide us and an inspiration to us all. Rosary will be recited Thursday, 7:00 p.m., at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, with Sam Paiz, reciting. Mass will be celebrated Friday, 10:00 a.m., at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church, 2005 Plaza NW, Old Town, MSGR Leo Lucero, Celebrant.
