Lizzie Gallegos, age 71, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, born November 4, 1931 in Albuquerque went to be with our Lord on August 25, 2003 after suffering from heart failure. A devout Catholic, she was a member of Queen of Heaven Parish. She was preceded in death by her father, Nick Gallegos; and her mother, Antonia Gallegos. She was a loving and generous person who would help anyone in need, and was loved dearly by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, William Center; son, Billy Center; daughter, Joan Marentes; granddaughter, Yvette Marentes; grandson, Eric Marentes. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, August 27, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Parish, 5310 Claremont Ave. NE, Albuquerque, NM. Mass will be held Thursday, August 28, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Parish. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Eric Marentes, Isidor Gallegos, George McAfee, Rudy Lewis, James Hopper, and Tim Keenan.
