John Cliff"Jake" Snyder Jr., 72, passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2003 in Albuquerque. He was born June 17, 1931 to John C. and Clara J. (Johnson) Snyder Sr., in Reserve, NM. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sue Birmingham Snyder of Horse Springs, NM; son, Wesley Snyder of Truth or Consequences, NM. He is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Thacker) Snyder of their home in Reserve, NM; sons, John C. Snyder III and wife, Cathlyn of Apache Creek, NM. Clay Snyder and wife, Pam of Reserve, Cinco Snyder, and wife, Carey of Amarillo, TX and Britt Snyder and wife, Jean or Roswell, NM; daughter, Cyndee Zentz and husband, John of Rio Rancho; sisters, Betty Goetz of Glenwood, NM and Dorthy Cosand of Flagstaff,NM; a great aunt, Netty Kerchville of El Paso, TX; 18 grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at the Datil Baptist Church in Datil, NM. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Jake's name to the Catron County Fair Board, PO Box 762, Datil, NM 87830.
