Obituary for Murray

Charles R."Chuck" Murray, age 73, a resident of Albuquerque since 1960, died Saturday, August 23, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Martha Murray of Albuquerque; son, Mike of Albuquerque; daughter, Susie of Albuquerque; grandson, Evan Willoughby; brother, Robert Murray and wife Jane of Andrews, TX. Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Emma Murray, and stepfather, Clarence McClain. He was born May 13, 1930 in Colorado City, TX to Emma and Roy Murray. Chuck was a Korean Veteran and was awarded the Purple Heart. He attended the School of Mines in Socorro, NM. Chuck and his wife were the founders of Murray Drilling where his son Mike now runs the company. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Thursday, August 28, 2003, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Burial of cremated remains will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 8100 Mountain Rd. NE, Suite 102, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
