Obituary for Valdez

Robert B. Valdez, age 60, a lifelong resident of New Mexico, passed away August 21, 2003. Survivors include his wife, Marylin Valdez; five daughters- Kimberly Valdez, Kelly Johnson and husband Herb, Kyle Allard and husband Greg, Kasey Fayter and husband Michael, Joey Lynn Wilson and husband Lee, all of Albuquerque; one son- Robert Valdez and wife Kathleen of Albuquerque; his father, Alfonso Valdez of Willard; three brothers- Archie Valdez of Moriarty, Rick Valdez of Albuquerque, Don Valdez of Willard; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild. His mother Irene Salas preceded Robert in death. Robert loved his family very much; he and his wife have been married forty-two years celebrating their wedding anniversary on August 23rd. He was a well-respected man in the community, as well as a good neighbor and dedicated employee. He had a talent to fix things and enjoyed his job. Robert was a faithful and devoted member in his church, Queen of Heaven, for over forty years. Robert was employed with Hanna Plumbing and Heating for over 27 years in which the last few years he served as a contractor for Ethicon. He was also a member of the local 412 Plumbers and Pipefitters from where he retired in July of this year. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, August 26, 2003 at Queen of Heaven Church. 5310 Claremont Ave. NE.
