Mary G. Gutierrez, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2003, after a long illness at the age of 77. She was a graduate of Albuquerque High School, class of 1943. In addition to being a homemaker, Mrs. Gutierrez spent many years in the supervision of manufacturing and distribution of turquoise and silver jewelry. Mrs. Gutierrez is survived by her husband, Miguel Gutierrez; sons, George R. Padilla and Gerald P. Padilla; daughters, Christine A. Zaccaria and husband Frank, and Eileen A. Lucero and fiance, Lawrence Reyes; grandchildren, Jerry Padilla, Michael Padilla, Frankie Zaccaria Jr., Ginette B. Pedroncelli, Alegras Lucero and Jimmy Lucero; and one sister, Consuelo Ballejos of Belen. Mrs. Gutierrez will be deeply missed by her loving family. Visitations will be held on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. A rosary will be held on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the St. Anne Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. also at the St. Anne Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the San Jose de Armijo Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Louis Villanueva, Gerald Padilla, Frank Zaccaria Sr., Frankie Zaccaria Jr., David Galaviz and Jerry Padilla. Honorary pallbearer will be Lawrence Reyes. The family is especially thankful to the staff at the Albuquerque Kidney Dialysis Center on Lomas for their quality of care and kindness to Mrs. Gutierrez.
