Romero, Claire Romero and husband, David Bomse, and Larry Romero and wife, Irma Chavez. She was also a loving aunt to four nieces, Misa, Andrea, Marisol, and Sofia, and four nephews, Alex, Christopher, Aaron and Gene. Bernie will also be sorely missed by her uncle and aunts, Boleslo and Dora Romero, Soveida Gonzales, and Helen Crowe; as well as numerous cousins. Bernie was born in Albuquerque on July 22, 1946. After graduating from Valley High School in 1965, she moved to Santa Fe where she worked for the state. Back in Albuquerque, Bernie pursued a career in the food industry as a caterer, restaurant manager, and cook. Gourmet cooking was top among her many passions and through much of her life Bernie created sumptuous feasts for friends and family. We miss our dear Bernie but her love of music, antiques, floral design, good literature, and vintage films will always live in our hearts. Direct cremation has taken place in Albuquerque. Rosary will take place on Thursday, August 21, 2003 at 7:00 p.m., and Memorial Service with Holy Mass will take place on Friday, August 22, 2003 at 9:00 a.m. at the Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 12500 Carmel Ave. NE, Albuquerque.
