Helen Jean"Jeanie" Hubbell, an Albuquerque native, died on Thursday, August 7, 2003. She will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She dedicated over 20 years counseling young adults as a resident advisor at Albuquerque Youth Corps. In life and work, she made time to help those in need and her door was always open. Jeanie is survived by her brother, Walter Hubbell; daughter Carol Hoppe; sons Louis Cervantes and Paul Cervantes; grandchildren Frank Faris, Camille Fairs, Stephen Cervantes, Dillion Cervantes, Louise Cervantes and David Cervantes and great grandson Cole Faris. Rosary will be recited on Monday, August 11, 2003, at 6:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, with Betty Jo Stafford reciting. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:30 p.m., following the rosary. Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 12, 2003, at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 9502 4th Street NW with Father Juan Mendez, Celebrant.
