Obituary for Gonzales

Eugene G. Gonzales, lifetime resident of Albuquerque, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2003. Mr. Gonzales was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Margaret D. Gonzales on April 9, 1988 Mr. Gonzales is survived by a brother, Adelaido Olguin and wife, of Bakersville, California; many nephews and nieces, especially Lela De Graffenreid and very dear friends, Rosemary and Archie Archuleta. Mr. and Mrs. Gonzales loved Rosemary like a daughter. He is also survived by the Archuleta children and grandchildren, Patrick, Kathy, Cruz and Christian Madrid; Timothy, Steven, Gina, Lucia and Gabriel Archuleta. A World War II veteran, Mr. Gonzales served in the SWP area and was one of the first troops to enter Manila as it was retaken by the 1st Cav. Div. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church since its inception, and a life member of BPOE #461. The Rosary has taken place. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, 1:30p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima, Fr. Francis X. Eggert, celebrant. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Mausoleum. Visitation will take place Tuesday, 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
