Obituary for Baca

Arturo T. Baca passed away July 30, 2003. He was born August 12, 1920 in Pueblitos, New Mexico. He was raised in Pueblitos, and was a resident of Albuquerque. Arturo was a preceded in death by his wife Clara L. Baca and he is survived by his daughter Melinda Baca; sons, Delfino Sandoval and wife Maxine, Arthur Baca, and Anthony Baca; grandchildren, Johanna Rael and husband Zachary, Darius Baca and wife Cindy, and Destiny Baca; great grandchildren, Lichelle, Diego, Santiago, and Helene; sisters, Pauline, Mary Ann, Sophia, and Mary Lou; brother Joe; many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Arturo served in the US Army during WWII, in the European Theater, and was a continuous member of the American Legion, Post 13, for 32 years. Services will be held at Queen of Heaven Parish, 5311 Phoenix Ave. NE. A rosary will be recited at 7:00pm on Monday, August 4, 2003. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2003. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m.. Pallbearers will be Effie Chavez, Johanna Rael, David Baca, Darius Baca, Judy Baca and Paul Baca. Honorary pallbearers will be Ida Cortez, Zachary Rael, Diane Chavez, Destiny Baca, Joann Holguin, Paul Chavez, Doug Molund, Louise Amador and Ted Baca.
