Irene Lager, 83, a resident of Rio Rancho for 37 years, died Sunday, August 10, 2003. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, George R. Lager of Rio Rancho; son, Robert J. Lager and wife, Terri of Abilene, TX; and granddaughter, E. Grace Lager and husband, R. Michael Pierro of Atlanta, GA. Mrs. Lager enjoyed painting and one of her specialties was oil painting. Services will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m., at Chester T. French Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
