Maretza Culwell, 80, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 6, 2003. Maretza was born on July 10, 1922 in Iowa Park, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bural James; and four brothers, Worth Watkins, Rupert Watkins, Voyons Watkins and Pete Watkins. She is survived by her daughter, Glinda Lewis and husband, Bill of Albuquerque; two brothers, Herrick Watkins and wife, Grace of Lytle, TX and James Watkins and wife, Fern of Houston, TX. She also leaves behind several dear nieces and nephews. Maretza was a member of Kerrville Chapter #24 and Adah Chapter #5, Order of the Eastern Star. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed. The family wishes to thank the staff of West Mesa Care and Rehabilitation for their love and care during the past few months. Friends may visit the family at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, on Wednesday evening, April 9, 2003, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Services will be held Thursday, April 10, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, with Pastor Clyde Stanfield officiating.
