Obituary for SIMPSON

William D. Simpson lost his battle with cancer on August 31, 2003. He lived his life as a gentle man, kind, caring and considerate of all the Earth's creatures. He is survived by his wife, Diane; two children, Clint and Lisa; six grandchildren; mother; brother; sister; three nephews and one niece. He served his country by joining the Navy choosing to go to submarine school. After four years and several tours of duty at sea during the Vietnam War, he was honorably discharged and returned to his home in Texas. he was graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas. A longtime member of the American Society for Quality, he was an ASQ Certified Quality Assurance engineer. He loved his work and was a loyal employee at Zia Laser, Inc. in Albuquerque. Bill was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather and a caring friend. This gentle man was a true gentleman and will be remembered and missed by all who knew him. Memorial Services will be held at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy NE, Albuquerque on September 6, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial Contributions be made to Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center, PO Box 476, Florissant, CO 80816 (719) 748-8683.
