Mary "Marie" Elizabeth Schumann, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 15 years, and moving here from Manhasset Hills, NY, died August 30, 2003. She was born March 19, 1927 to Richard R. Coughlin and Elizabeth Kealy Coughlin in New York, NY. She was a guidance counselor for 38 years for the New York P.S. 145, Brooklyn, NY. She was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Rio Rancho and the San-Bern Federated Republican Women as well as the Navy League. Mary is survived by her husband, O. Douglas; sister-in-law, Mrs. Frank Monteleone; nephews, Lance and Stewart, and niece Olga Monteleone all of Houston,TX. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3, 2003 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM and again from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho with the Rosary being recited at 7:30 PM. A Mass of Ressurection will be celebrated on Thursday, September 4, 2003 at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 1502 Sara Rd. in Rio Rancho.
