GRIEGO, PEDRO D. age 94, born in Manzano, NM and a resident of Albuquerque, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at home with his family at his side. Mr. Griego is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Dolores; children, Michael Griego, Robert Garner, and Elaine Marquez; his grandchildren, David Marquez and wife, Melissa, PJ Garner, Diana Marquez; great-grandchildren, Joshua Marquez, Marissa Marquez, Dezaray Garner, Deana Garner, and Julian Marquez; sister, Carmen Thompson; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Griego was preceded in death by his son, Pedro Griego Jr.; grandson, Dennis Marquez; parents, Salvador and Maria Griego. Mr. Griego was a member of the Catholic Church, a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII, an honorary member of Labor Union Local 16. Mr. Griego played senior softball for the Barelas Senior Center. Visitation will be Saturday, February 28, 2015 at St. Anne Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal SW from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Disposition will take place at a later date.
