 THOMAS, BARBARA Barbara Antoinette Thomas, age 57, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2015. She was born on August 26, 1957 in El Paso, Texas and was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM. She is survived by her husband, Phillip Chavez; children Jessica and Samuel Chavez; son-in-law Matt Martinez; father Charles Thomas; brothers Charlie, Robert, and Paul Thomas; and sisters-in-law Patsy and Carol Thomas. She is a graduate of Rio Grande High School and she attended UNM. She taught catechism and served as president of the Alter and Rosary Society for St. Anne's Catholic Church. Barbara worked as an educational assistant for over 35 years at Albuquerque High School and she also served as educational assistant president for the Albuquerque Teachers Federation. A Rosary will be recited in her memory followed by a Mass and reception at St. Anne's Catholic Church, 1400 Arenal Rd. S.W. 87105, on Monday, February 23rd, 2015 starting at 8:15am.
