CARRUTH, LOIS FINNEY Age 88, passed away on February 7, 2015 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born on August 19, 1926 in Fort Dodge, IA to Harry C. and Martha F. Finney. She is survived by her children, Kathleen, John, and Daniel, and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, and husband, Ernest C. Carruth. Lois spent her career teaching high school home economics, after receiving a Bachelors degree at Iowa State University and a Masters degree at University of Connecticut. She was a longtime member of the Storrs Congregational Church UCC in Storrs Mansfield, CT. She moved to Albuquerque in 2010 and spent the remainder of her life at Brookdale Place of Albuquerque, a senior facility where she was loved and cared for. Lois was a lifelong member of her beloved P.E.O. Sisterhood, including chapters in Ames, IA, then Storrs for over 40 years, and finally in Albuquerque. She will be laid to rest at the Ames Municipal Cemetery in a private ceremony. She will be missed by those who loved her.
