BURD, NELSON (BURD MAN) age 77, passed unexpectedly on February 7, 2015. Nelson was born June 19, 1937 in Morristown, New Jersey but resided most of his life in Albuquerque. In his younger years Nelson coached baseball and softball. He loved fishing, hunting, horse racing and poker. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Beatrice Burd and son Brian. Nelson is survived by his three children, Evelyn Rodriguez, Nelson Burd and wife Brenda, Doreen Shoemaker and husband Lee; seven grandchildren, Joe, Justin, Vincent, Tanya, Jordan, Karen, and Crystal; and nine great-grandchildren. A Memorial service will be Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM, St Paul's United Methodist Church, 9500 Constitution Ave NE. Reception to follow.
