Obituary for LOUCKS

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Tuesday January 20, 2015

LOUCKS, JOAN MARIE (MEAD) 68, joined our Father in Heaven, on Friday, January 16, 2015 peacefully of natural causes, after a long illness. She has been a resident of Albuquerque since December 28, 1946. Joan was preceded by her grandmother Ellen Milligan, her parents Kenneth and Josephine, brother Bob and sisters Ruth and Victoria, and her beloved aunt Marie Conrad. She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jeri L. Loucks; sons, Jeri L. Loucks II and Zane Jess Mead Loucks all of Albuquerque. Joan is also survived by many cats and other animal friends that she loved dearly. She was a proud graduate of Sandia High School. Joan was proud to be from Albuquerque and very proud of her state. Per her request there will be no memorial services, however we will all remember her as we new her in life, feisty, a jokester and always upbeat. The family request that as a memorial to Joan's love of animals, that donations be made to the Animal Humane Society, Watermelon Ranch, or any of the local Animal Rescues. Joan will be sorely missed.
