 CORLISS, JOHN O. Age 92, a resident of Albuquerque from 1987 to 1996, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2014, in Bala Cynwyd, PA. He had a long career as an internationally renowned protistologist and was a WWII veteran. He is survived by his wife, Yuemei; daughters Catharine Megan Corliss, Susan Kinkley, Joan Bartel, Kimberley Vivier, and Jennifer Rodriguez; grandchildren Hanna, Robert, and Alexandra; and great-granddaughter Gabriela. His memorial service and interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Corliss Systematics Award (contact Denis H. Lynn, Treasurer, International Society of Protistologists) or the New Mexico BioPark Society.
