 PEREZ, RAMON B. Age 80, passed after a long illness on Sunday, January 11, 2015, comfortably and at peace at home in Albuquerque, New Mexico surrounded by his loved ones. Raymond was born on July 15, 1934 in Hondo, New Mexico to parents Raymond Peres Sr. and Dolores Benavidez. He joined the US Army in 1951. He served in South Korea where he met his wife Bok Soon. He later served two tours in Viet Nam. He enjoyed reading, his crafts and mechanics and could fix just about anything. He adored his dog Chia, his faithful companion who will miss him dearly. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandson Ryan and his brother Richard. He is survived by his wife Bok Soon; brother Rudy; sons and daughters Rudy, Ruby, Rebecca, Regina, Rodney, Ronald and Roger; grandsons and granddaughters Felix, Miranda, Joseph, Ian, Austin, Renee, Branden, Joshua, Aysha, Victoria, Isaac; and great-grandson Raymond. He also had many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, in-laws and friends. A funeral is scheduled for Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Our lady of The Most Holy Rosary, a Catholic Community 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW 87105. Rosary will be held at 8:00 am; Mass at 9:00 am with internment to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery 1900 Edith NE. Reception to be held at the church's reception hall. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ray's life. the family would like to thank all the friends and relatives who called or visited him in his home.
