Obituary for O'REILLY

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Sunday January 11, 2015

O'REILLY, FRANCIS THOMAS Born in Levittown, New York; raised in Park Slope, Brooklyn; graduated from Brooklyn Tech High School, and moved to the Marin County, California area at age 21. There he had a prosperous IT career as HQ Assistant Manager at the Auto Desk and enjoyed kayaking as part of the Bay Area Kayaking Club. After retiring he moved to Albuquerque, NM to be near family and enjoyed listening to live jazz and blues musicians around town, dancing and going to art galleries. Frank was a compassionate man who cared deeply for the human plight and had an encyclopedic memory for all types of knowledge, both practical and artistic, which made for interesting conversation. May he find bliss and peace as he dances into the new transition that his soul takes. Frank is survived by three sisters and their families, Caroline Wolf; nephew Frank Tijerino and wife Patti; Noel Tijerino and wife Lori and their four children (Caleb, Joshua, Evie and Timothy); niece Lenora Tijerino; sister Jane Ocasio and husband Ben; nephew Kristian Ocasio, wife Patty and son Christopher and his other son Kristian and daughter Madison; niece Rachel Barrazueta, her husband William and daughter Rachel; and sister Katherine Bernstein and son Joel. "God bless you O'Reilly, you're looking quite well." In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to area homeless shelters. Cremation services are under the direction of the Neptune Society, Albuquerque, NM.
