Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Thursday January 08, 2015

CLARK, JEREMIAH FURYK Jeremiah Furyk Clark, 41. Born August 17, 1973, died January 1, 2015. Beloved son, father, uncle and friend, he is survived by his son Truman Luv Clark in Florida; his mother, Garuda Ishtarterra from Encinitas, CA; as well as an uncle and cousins from north Texas. Furyk was raised in California and attended the Midland Boarding School in Los Olivos, California, while there, he developed a dynamic, inclusive leadership style, as well as earned the nickname "Zeus" Champion, Leader, Visionary! A remarkably intelligent and worldly fellow with an extremely impressive and passionate artistic talent which included photography, painting, sculpting, stenciling, and found its way into how he loved, communicated, forged new friendships, and lived. The vast circle he drew around his life was captivating and full of admiring people from all over the world. He attended Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, IA, remains a revered member of the alumni community and will forever be Acquainted with the Delta Phi Rho. After graduation, Furyk moved to the Hamptons on Long Island, NY, working in restaurants and spending his free time lounging at the beach, riding his motorcycle and rubbing elbows with millionaire vacationers. Furyk spent two years in Nairobi, Kenya and established a design firm and industrial art company specializing in large scale corporate art. He had gallery openings and was among the burgeoning art scene in Nairobi. Upon his return, Furyk fell in love with New York City and embraced the many challenges and joys of the vibrant city lifestyle as he made new friends and started a family with the birth of his son, Truman. His final years were spent in Albuquerque among college friends, family, and the New Mexico Brujos Rugby Club, who valued his athletic spirit, fierce competitiveness and his robust advocacy of good times and brotherly camaraderie. Loved by all for his generosity, insight and creative passion; humanity has lost a good soul.
