 MCLAUGHLIN, DEBRA LOUISE A Memorial service for Debra McLaughlin is scheduled for 5 pm Wednesday, January 7th at the Albuquerque Garden Center. McLaughlin, 61, passed away Wednesday, November 19th, 2014 at UNM Hospital in Albuquerque, NM. The Services will be open to all friends and family from 5-6 pm. Debra was born in San Francisco, California to Joyce and Harold McLaughlin. She was raised in Kansas City, Missouri, where she graduated from West High School. Debra went on to study Psychology, Sociology, and Management, in her pursuit of higher education. She was an advocate against Domestic Violence and Animal Abuse, devoting much of her time to numerous shelters. Debra also worked as a Compassionate Care Giver to the elderly and disabled, and enjoyed her time with her patients dearly. Debra is survived by sister Sheila and husband Ricardo Beraum; brother Mike Yoakum; brother Jeff and wife Cindy Joslin; son Jason and wife Kyra McLaughlin; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous extended families. Debra was preceded in death by her parents, Joyce & Harold McLaughlin, and brother, Gregory Yoakum.
