MCGARR, CUVIER ALLEN Cuvier Allen, 67, of Albuquerque, our angel on Earth, our anchor, joined our Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 22, 2014. He was an active member at Riverside Baptist Church, serving the Lord in various duties. He attended UNM, earning his bachelor's and master's degrees. Allen was an APS teacher for 25 years, retiring in 1994. During and after his teaching career, he enjoyed construction and real estate investing as well as guns and target shooting, photography, reading, Sudoku puzzles, home improvements, travel and market investing. Survivors include his devoted wife of 47 beautiful and memorable years, Linda Hetzel McGarr; his faithful and loving companions, Cally and Poppy; Tom and Loretta Massis; Rick and sister, Jean Jenkins; his beloved cousins, Harvey and David Hetzel; best-friends and neighbors, Dale and Denise Libby; his loving and supportive church family, as well as long-time friend, Robert Montes DeOca. He also leaves behind his nephews and nieces; Mark, Elaine, Aaron, David and Jordan Massis, Chris, Sheryl, Breanne and Kyle Edgar, Kevin, Dionne and Brendan Masis, Dave, Rhonda, Amanda and Makayla Purcell, Ron, Sara, Ryan and Sean Jenkins and Ann and Sydney Newburn. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of his Life will be held Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Riverside Baptist Church Chapel, 1601 Bridge Blvd. SW.
